Rujuna
Hilltop Guesthouse
Comfort, Culture and Quiet Beauty
We are located 6 kilometers along the
Fort Portal-Kasese road on the outskirts of Fort Portal. Rujuna
Hilltop Guest House is set among the foot hills of the Rwenzoris
with spectacular panoramic views of the mountains. The location
combines quiet scenic charm, and easy access to all the main tourist
attractions in the region, including the Queen Elizabeth National
Park, Kibaale Forest and Semiliki National Parks.
Our recreational activities include cultural
trails, (for example guided tours of cultural sites, musical instrument
making and special ceremonial experiences), nature tours and communing
with local community. Many of our guests also love to take long
rambles through the lush green country-side.
Our
team ensures that guests get a personable service in keeping with
the hospitable nature of the Burungu community, which is rooted
in Traditional Toro Culture. The Guest House consists of seven bedrooms
decorated along comfortable and simple western Ugandan themes. Four
of the rooms may be used as either single or double rooms. Washing
facilities include hot and cold running water with either showers
or bathtub as preferred. The use of solar power guarantees reliable
continous lighting and water heating.
Meals are served
in the lounge or on the balcony, where guests can enjoy a splendid
sunset and good views of the natural vegetation and settlements
in rural Kabarole. Modern Media and Telecommunication amenities
are available for connection to the outside world. Rujuna Hilltop
Guest house is ideal for groups of up to 10 people, small conferences
and seminars.
