Is Uganda a Safe Safari Destination? That is the question to many travelers wishing to travel to Uganda. The country today has registered tourism development with tourist arrivals hitting over 500000 tourists in 2006 visiting Uganda. A holiday in Uganda is worthy taking given the immense tourist potentials that the country boasts of. The country protects more than half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the national parks of Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga National Park. Over 1010 bird species are found in the boundary of 236.580 square kilometres ( roughly the size of Great Britain). Kibale Forest National Park has the highest density of chimpanzees in Africa and about 11 different primate species can be spotted on a chimpanzee tour through the park while the Murchison Falls are quite scenic to see on your Uganda Holiday.
Uganda is also home to the famous and Biblical Nile River, and Lake Victoria, the largest lake on the continent. The Ssese Islands, Bulago Island, and Ngamba Islands are increasingly becoming tourist attractions offering excellent beach holidays and Nature Retreats.
