KAMPALA HOTELS TO BENEFIT FROM AFRO ARAB CONFERENCE

Uganda is set to host the Afro- Arab Youth conference scheduled for next month.
The conference aimed at empowering youth and women across Africa and in the Arab countries in order to be able to discuss problems affecting their countries.

The conference expected to host over 18 presidents will also bring in several delegates from different countries who will stay in the Kampala hotels recently upgraded for the commonwealth heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) which recently took place in November.

The Afro-Arab Youth festival celebrated every after two years, brings together youth who share their experiences and discuss the common problems.
Mr Muyombya said the government has secured Shs2.3 billion to help in preparations.

SHERATON HOTEL HOSTS “CROWN” OLYMPIC BOOST

Crown Beverages upped the Beijing Olympics tempo by launching a campaign “Drink Mirinda and take Uganda to Beijing Olympics 2008″.

The campaign held at the Sheraton Kampala hotel had an aim of funding for all home-based athletes from all sports disciplines in their attempt to qualify for the Olympic Games in August.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Crown Beverages Paddy Muramirah, said that 5% of the price of each drink will go to the ‘Send Uganda to Beijing’ account.

Crown beverages, the makers of Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up and Peak mineral water kick-started the cause by donating Shs 10 million.
