Golf course hotel, a new four star hotel has now opened its doors for guests.
The 120 room and suite hotel offers a unique rotating restaurant with scenic views across the city.Construction of the complex started several years ago and the opening of the new hotel has now brought the development to its fruitful conclusion.
Several new hotels and extensions to existing properties await final completion during the month of October to be ready for business in November for the series of
Commonwealth meetings culminating in the Head of Government Summit (CHOGM).

Food safety and kitchen facilities in all the big hotels re-scheduled to host Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting (Chogm) have been certified by Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS)
The exercise, which started six months ago is geared towards implementation of International Standards Organization (ISO) 22000:2005 Food safety management Systems in hotels which combines hotel grading, good manufacturing practices, hygiene and food safety and quality of service customer satisfaction among others.
This has been done to ensure that hotels have reached the required standards.

City hotels proprietors have been praised by President Yoweri Museveni for the various hotel developments.
The President was grateful for all the impressive work going on and the spirit of commitment to prepare their facilities for the Commonwealth heads of Government meeting (Chogm) in a bid to provide accommodation to various delegates.
The President toured some of the facilities that will host chogm. Some of the Hotels visited include Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, Golf Course Hotel, Imperial Royale Hotel and Jogoo Hotel in Bwebajja.

Kampala Serena Hotel has sold 20% of its shares to the National Social Security Fund for $1.95m (about sh3.5b).
The Hotel owned by an investment arm of the Aga Khan,, the Tourism Promotion Services and by a French property consultancy firm, Proparco is the former Nile Hotel and the International Conference Centre.
The plan by NSSF to bu the shares was a high-yielding investment fund, intended to pay better returns to workers, the savers of Uganda, said the Managing director Chandi Jamwa
Kampala Serena hotel, started operating in July 2006 and has during this time registered a 74% occupancy against the expected 65% rate since the beginning of the year 2007.
