Janet Museveni, the First Lady and Ruhama county Member of Parliament toured Protea Hotel at Bwebajja on the Kampala-Entebbe Highway recently.

It took the First Lady three hours to tour the $100m investment, built on a 160-acres of land. The Hotel, owned by Joseph and Goodra Behakanira, the owners of Avemer Shopping Centre on Luwum Street, Kampala has 24 presidential suites, cottages, a 10,000-capacity-seating conference hall, a business centre, a huge shopping mall, and an airfield.

The hotel was contracted to Protea Hotels a South African based firm to manage the hotel.
