Western Region Beauties were hosted at Mountains of the moon hotel, during the Miss Uganda western region Selection.

The Pageant, sponsored by Uganda telecom drew contestants from Fort Portal, Mbarara, Hoima, Mubende and Masaka, saw crowd favourite Diana Alinaffe, also contestant number one as the winner, Beatrice Nantongo, a 19-year-old S6 leaver from Masaka and Belinda Kisakye, a 20, Social Development student from Gombe as first and second runners-up respectively.

The guests were entertained by Maisha Dancers,Romeo Akiiki, singers Bella, Moses Araali Kigambo and General Mega Dee,and there was also a group dance to introduce the contestants, a creative wear showcase in which the girls’ aptitude was also tested and an evening wear finale to announce the top three.
