The New Kampala Serena Hotel celebrated valentines day by hosting several couples at the famed Pearl of Africa Restaurant.
The dinner was supplemented with red roses, drinks and raffle prizes and the poolside was also fully sold out for the night.

The five Star Hotel called Oasis Hotel is located on Kitante Road, and is between Garden City and Centenary Park. The Hotel owned by Khadhar Investment is expected to open in July.
The $18 million (Shs31 billion) hotel will have 150 rooms, with three prestigious presidential suites, banking halls, parking space for 288 vehicles, a metro cinema hall, health clubs, coffee shops, food court terrace, restaurants, kids play area, multi-purpose hall among other exotic facilities.

Hotel classification will soon commence on the 12th february 2007.
A joint panel of experts chosen from the hotel and tourism sectors of Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will be carrying out the exercise in areas of Kampala, Entebbe and Mukono sector, covering upcountry hotels as well as safari lodges.

The teams now descending on hotels are using the internationally recognized IHRA star rating system, and these will be graded ranging from 1 star hotels to 5 star Hotels and lodges.
The Hotels which will host the commonwealth Heads of government meeting (CHOGM) due to take place in November 2007.
