HOTELS ADVISED ON COMMONWEALTH SECURITY

Hotels have been advised on security in during the commonwealth meeting in November 2007.
Hotels hosting delegates have been advised to prepare for the commonwealth heads of government meeting (CHOGM) crime inorder to keep the guests secure.
Tips given include provision of quality and security locks with viewers, strict key control measures, staff admission should be confined to one entrance, Good surveillance across public areas, Installing closed circuit television (CCTV), crime incidents should be reported to police, functional metal detectors should be placed at entrances, employmnt of security guards from private security organisations approved by police, Standard fire safety measures, hotel safes or centralised safety deposits and Room attack alarms for beds shoud be introduced.
This will provide security to the guests during their stay at several hotels.
