AYA group’s multi-million shillings hotel at Nakasero is sheduled for ground breaking today. President Yoweri Museveni is to preside over the ground-breaking ceremony for the five star hotel.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Alsaud, a member of the Saudi Royal Family,the owner of the hotel to be constructed recently signed a memorandum of understanding with President Yoweri Museveni to construct a five-star hotel in Uganda.

AYA Hilton Hotel, a five-star 24-storey Hotel will be built on Nakasero Hill has an aim to host visitors for over 100 years to come. The Hotel will have 300 rooms and eight presidential suites of international standards. The hotel will also have parking space for at least 1,500 cars.

The AYA Group of Companies managing director Mohamed Mohamed Hamid, said that up to 2,000 employees would be recruited and 95% of these would be locals. “After six months of opening, the staff will be trained abroad to meet international standards,”
