Uganda Hotels Grading Set.

September 28th, 2005 by Administrator

The ministry of Tourism combined with the Uganda Hotel Association have embarked on the process involving the rating of hotels. The exercise is expected to begin towards the end of 2005 starting with Kampala hotels and then to other areas where Uganda Safaris are made.
As Uganda is turning into one of the top tourist destinations in the world, its hotels, restaurants and safari lodges are not graded to match with the facilities and services they offer.Hotels in Uganda are going to be classified according to the services and facilities as said by Justice Tindigarukayo a commisioner in the Ministry of Tourism.
Damiano Akankwasa who heads the tourism department under the Uganda Wildlife Authority said that there were many hotels and restaurants in uganda and in the National Parks. Grading the hotels
in Uganda would help the tourists to make a choice. The Marketing Director of www.hotelsinuganda.com states that most of the hotels in Uganda are not graded. This has left many questions unanswered to the tourists. A list of hotels to be included on the review process can be viewed at www.hotelsinuganda.com
