Kampala Serena Hotel among leading hotels of the world

November 19th, 2008 by Administrator

THE Serena Hotel in Kampala has been listed among leading hotels of the world, writes Eddy Kirya.

The Serena Hotel has been the first Hotel in Uganda to qualify for the rating. The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) is a prestigious luxury hospitality organisation representing over 450 of the world’s finest hotels, resorts and spas.

Hotels that are seeking membership with LHW must first apply for admission. Mahmud Jan Mohamed, the hotel’s managing director said they were among the many hotels, which submitted applications but few were chosen to undergo the next phase of the acceptance process.

“The exercise involved rigorous inspection of facilities. Recognising the hotel as a member of LHW reassures us of the continual need for hard work to adhere to high quality,” he said.
